Job Opportunity: Vascular Neurologist

The Department of Neurology at our organization is actively looking for a faculty member to join the Division of Vascular Neurology. This role will be based at our Altoona campus, under the guidance of the Chair of Neurology and the Chief of Neurology and Director of Stroke.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a vascular and endovascular neurologist within the Division of Vascular Neurology.
  • Collaborate with a team of local and regional specialists, including neurologists, neurointerventionalists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, Advanced Practice Providers, stroke nurses, therapists, and social workers.
  • Engage in educational initiatives and research opportunities, including participation in lecture series and larger departmental events.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a minimum of one year in a vascular neurology fellowship.
  • At least two years of experience in a neurointerventional fellowship.
  • Possession of an MD or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
  • Ability to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
Working Conditions

This position is situated within a vibrant team of four vascular neurologists, including two neurointerventionalists, along with five Advanced Practice Providers and dedicated clinic staff. The Altoona campus is a certified stroke center and has been performing neurointerventional procedures since 2018. Clinical teaching opportunities are available for medical students from both Drexel and the University of Pittsburgh.
