About the Opportunity

Our Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a full-time, general non-invasive cardiologist to join our growing team in 2026 or 2027. The selected candidate will hold a clinical academic appointment and will provide both inpatient and outpatient services at our UPMC Jameson and/or UPMC Horizon facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inpatient cardiology consultations
  • Providing critical care services
  • Performing ECG analyses
  • Interpreting transthoracic echocardiograms
  • Conducting and interpreting transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
  • Teaching opportunities available

These tasks will be shared in a weekly rotation with other cardiologists in the practice, and weekend coverage will be on a 1:4 basis.

About the Practice

Our Heart & Vascular Institute at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon currently includes four full-time cardiologists (two interventionalists and two non-invasive cardiologists, with plans to expand to six). Additionally, we have ten APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. Alongside these full-time providers, we offer part-time services from four electrophysiologists (including a pacemaker clinic), a heart failure specialist, three vascular surgeons, one thoracic surgeon, and one cardiothoracic surgeon. Our outpatient office in New Castle is located within UPMC Jameson, which also houses a full range of diagnostic services, including two catheterization labs. HVI Horizon-Greenville is situated within UPMC Horizon Greenville hospital, while HVI Horizon-Shenango is located across from UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley hospital.
