Responsibilities
  • The Registered Nurse is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, which includes overseeing patient care and managing staff assigned to their care.
  • This role may involve serving as Charge Nurse, with accountability for professional nursing practices.
  • Compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations is essential to ensure patient safety and adherence to standards.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma
  • Current NM Nursing license or NM compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • BLS certification must be secured within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, prior to delivering direct patient care.
  • Department may also require ACLS and/or PALS certifications.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Two years of experience in a specialty area
  • Two years of general nursing experience
