Sr Mobile Technician

As a Mobile Technician, you perform intermediate-level maintenance and repairs on J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers and power equipment. This is a field-based role, servicing tractor-trailer equipment on-site at customer sites and rail yards using a mobile service truck.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Perform preventive maintenance and intermediate repairs (tires, brakes, electrical, structural), including chassis and frame repairs, patching trailer and container panels and roofs
\n
• Inspect equipment and document damage for repair estimates and complete associated work orders with proper repair documentation
\n
• Perform AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections
\n
• Diagnose and repair ABS systems
\n
• Operate and maintain mobile service truck and inventory
\n

Qualifications:\n

\n
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old
\n
• At least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks and/or trailers or military equivalent
\n
• Clean motor vehicle record
\n
• Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program
\n

Preferred Qualifications:\n

\n
• DOT certifications in FHWA inspections and air brakes
\n
• Welding certification
\n
• Forklift certification and experience
\n
• EPA Section 608 certification and refrigeration license
\n
