Special Education Teacher | Stoughton, Wisconsin

Key Qualifications:

• Valid cross-categorical special education teaching license in the state
• Experience working with upper elementary students (grades 4-6) strongly preferred
• Ability to design, implement, and monitor IEPs for a varied caseload
• Commitment to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Capacity to adapt and thrive in both self-contained and inclusion settings

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to student IEPs
• Manage a balanced caseload of 8 students, supporting academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain concise records and progress reports in compliance with local and federal requirements
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student independence and confidence
• Provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs

Position Details:

• Contract assignment with a start date of August 31, 2026
• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Caseload composed of 4th-6th graders in a split self-contained/inclusion model
