As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Hold a valid Special Education teaching credential
• Experience working with K-12 students, adapting lessons across a range of grade levels
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and educational teams
• Ability to develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Demonstrated skill in creating inclusive classroom environments
• Knowledge of current special education laws and best practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt curriculum and instruction to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Partner with general education teachers to support student inclusion
• Foster a positive, supportive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress toward IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development
