  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care facility with 263 licensed beds, offering a wide range of services, including 24/7 emergency care, surgical procedures, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke treatment, radiology, and oncology services.
Responsibilities
  • The Charge RN is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, overseeing both patient care and staff management in their designated area.
  • Ensures efficient patient flow and optimal use of supplies along with other operational tasks.
  • Works collaboratively with unit managers and/or directors to develop and update unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Acts as the departmental liaison and primary contact for patients, providers, and staff.
  • Follows established policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain compliance and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or Nursing Diploma.
  • At least one (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital environment or over one year of clinical or management experience.
  • BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into the position and before providing direct patient care.
  • A valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • National Certification in a clinical specialty area.
