Warehouse Operative

Driver Hire Southampton & Winchester is recruiting on behalf of our client for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Winchester.

This is a hands-on role involving order picking, loading and unloading vehicles, stock replenishment, and general warehouse duties.

The position includes manual handling andheavy lifting, with occasional van driving or forklift truck duties where required.

Location: Winchester (immediate start available)Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately.
\n
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
\n
• Be comfortable with regular manual handling and heavy lifting of products weighing up to 25kg+
\n
• Receive, check and store incoming stock.
\n
• Ensure stock is put away in the correct warehouse locations.
\n
• Assist with stock counts and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
\n
• Ensure outbound vehicles are loaded safely in line with company procedures and current legislation.
\n
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety throughout the warehouse.
\n
• Provide occasional cover for delivery drivers when required.
\n

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous warehouse experience in a physically demanding environment.
\n
• A good understanding of workplace health and safety.
\n
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Full UK driving licence, as you may occasionally be required to assist with delivery driving.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
