Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll lead the site's Health, Safety, Environmental and facilities agenda, ensuring legal compliance, driving best practice and embedding a proactive safety culture across the operation. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, operational and specialist teams to deliver our Road to Zero strategy, manage compliance programmes and champion continuous improvement. Youll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!What youll do on a typical day:Lead the site's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring full compliance with legislation and GXO standardsOversee facilities, engineering and contractor management activities, ensuring safe and complaint site operationsManage incident reporting, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions to reduce risk and prevent recurrenceLead audit activity, compliance programmes and tactical risk improvement plans, ensuring actions are completed within agreed timescalesCoach, influence and support managers and colleagues on all aspects of QHSE, training requirements and legislative complianceWhat you need to succeed at GXO:A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a complex, fast-paced operational environmentNEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 as a minimum, with additional qualifications such as IOSH, Fire Safety, Environmental or DGSA highly desirableMembership of a recognised Health & Safety professional bodyProven experience managing compliance, audits, investigations, policies and continuous improvement initiative, ideally within logistics or automated enviromentsStrong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence change and drive exceptional safety performance#LI-NS1We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.TPBN1_UKTJ
