Mechanical Service Engineer

- Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (based on experience and average hours worked) \n
Join our client as a Mechanical Service Engineer and work with the only UK manufacturer of their kind the UK, where you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing a range of blasting equipment at customer sites across the UK and occasionally in Ireland.
\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Attend customer sites to install, commission, service, and repair a range of blasting equipment. \n
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on the condition of the customers’ equipment following onsite machine examinations. \n
- Investigate and identify machine problems in emergency breakdown situations, both mechanically and electrically. \n
- Identify opportunities for productivity or efficiency improvements to equipment while on site and recommend these to the customer. \n
- Work includes flexible hours, with some weekend and unsociable working hours, along with overnight stays. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Full Driving License. \n
- Mechanical engineering skills with basic electrical knowledge. \n
- Experience in fitting, welding, and basic fabrication on site (renewal and repair). \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Good communication skills, both customer-facing and with internal/external staff. \n
- Flexible working approach, prepared for extended hours and travel, including overseas work in Ireland. \n

- Competitive salary with potential earnings between £45,000 to £60,000 per annum. \n
- Contracted hours are 40 hours per week, but average working week is 55 hours plus. \n
