\nAbout the Role
\nWe are currently seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Reception Administrator to join a busy GP Surgery on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
\nAs the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in providing a welcoming and efficient service while supporting the day-to-day administration of the practice.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. \n
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries. \n
- Booking, amending, and cancelling patient appointments. \n
- Managing patient records and updating information accurately. \n
- Handling sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR guidelines. \n
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence. \n
- Supporting clinicians and practice staff with administrative tasks. \n
- Liaising with patients, healthcare professionals, and external organisations. \n
- Maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception area. \n
Requirements

- Previous reception or administration experience, ideally within a healthcare, medical, or customer-facing environment. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure. \n
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office. \n
- A professional, empathetic, and patient-focused approach. \n
- Knowledge of GP systems such as EMIS or SystmOne would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
