An established City law firm is seeking a Finance Paralegal to support a market-leading Banking & Finance practice on complex domestic and international transactions. The role offers broad exposure to transactional work, legal project management, client onboarding and business development activities within a supportive and high-performing team.

  • Assist fee earners on a variety of finance transactions and matters.
  • \n
  • Prepare and collate conditions precedent documentation.
  • \n
  • Draft ancillary corporate documents including board minutes and shareholder resolutions.
  • \n
  • Produce revised drafts of finance documents based on agreed precedents.
  • \n
  • Conduct and review company searches and prepare search review summaries.
  • \n
  • Coordinate signing and completion processes for financing transactions.
  • \n
  • Prepare completion checklists and transaction management documents.
  • \n
  • Liaise with overseas lawyers and other transaction parties.
  • \n
  • Assist with security registrations and related filings.
  • \n
  • Compile and prepare post-completion document bundles and bibles.
  • \n
  • Support client onboarding and compliance procedures.
  • \n
  • Assist with billing processes and matter management.
  • \n
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, pitches and marketing materials.
  • \n
  • Provide general administrative and legal support across the Finance practice.
  • \n

Profile

\n
    \n
  • Degree educated with strong academic credentials.
  • \n
  • LPC, SQE studies or equivalent legal training preferred.
  • \n
  • Previous paralegal experience within Banking & Finance or a similar transactional practice area.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable interest in finance and lending transactions.
  • \n
  • Strong drafting, research and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • \n
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
  • \n
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
  • \n
  • Experience coordinating transactions and legal documentation preferred.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology systems.
  • \n
  • Commercial awareness and professional judgement.
  • \n
