Salary: £16 - £18.50 per hour

Shifts: Days, evenings, nights and weekends available

About the role

We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to work across Swindon.

\n

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients and service users in a range of settings, including care homes, residential services, supported-living environments and community-based services.

\n

Key responsibilities

\n

Your duties may include:

\n
    \n
  • Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
  • \n
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers and repositioning
  • \n
  • Supporting service users with meals, hydration and daily activities
  • \n
  • Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
  • \n
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in a service user’s health or wellbeing
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate care records and daily notes
  • \n
  • Supporting individuals to retain their independence
  • \n
  • Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
  • \n
  • Maintaining dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • \n
  • Working closely with nurses, care teams, families and other healthcare professionals
  • \n
  • Supporting with medication where appropriately trained and authorised
  • \n

Requirements

\n

Applicants should have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker
  • \n
  • A compassionate, patient and respectful approach
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • \n
  • Reliability, flexibility and good time-management skills
  • \n
  • An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care
  • \n
  • The right to work in the UK
  • \n
\n

A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ or QCF in Health and Social Care, is desirable but not essential.

\n

A full UK driving licence may be beneficial for some assignments but is not always required.

\n

Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate pre-employment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
