\nWe are looking for a caring, reliable, and confident Support Worker to join our small team, supporting two individuals in their own home in Witham, Essex.
\nThe individuals you will be supporting have learning disabilities and benefit from a consistent team that takes the time to build trusting relationships, understand their needs and preferences, and provide high-quality, person-centred support.
\nThis is a highly rewarding role, offering the opportunity to support two kind and outgoing individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
\nOne individual enjoys going for walks, visiting the beach, being creative, and getting involved in DIY activities. The other is passionate about Formula 1 and motorsports, has a great sense of humour, and enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day activities. Every day provides an opportunity to support them in the things they enjoy while making a meaningful difference to their quality of life.
\nAs a Support Worker with Calm Futures, you will play an important role in helping people live independently, achieve their goals, and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Providing personalised support tailored to individual needs \n
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities \n
- Assisting with personal care when required \n
- Promoting choice, dignity, and independence \n
- Supporting individuals to access appointments, activities, and the community \n
- Administering and recording medication in line with policies and procedures \n
- Maintaining accurate records and following support plans \n
- Responding appropriately to challenging situations and behaviours when required \n
What a Typical Day Might Look Like

- Supporting with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking \n
- Accompanying individuals to appointments and social activities \n
- Supporting medication administration \n
- Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities \n
- Spending time engaging in hobbies and interests that are important to the individuals we support \n
