Finance Operations Manager

Robertson Bell are recruiting for a Finance Operations Manager on behalf of a large organisation within the housing sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transactional finance leader to oversee a busy Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function, managing a team responsible for high-volume income and payment processing while ensuring strong financial controls and driving continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will:

• Lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
\n
• Oversee high-volume supplier payments, income processing and reconciliations.
\n
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance across transactional finance.
\n
• Support cash flow management and month-end activities.
\n
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance team performance.
\n

To be successful, you'll have:

• Strong experience leading Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable teams.
\n
• A background in high-volume transactional finance within a large or complex organisation.
\n
• Proven people management experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
\n
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n

Qualifications are less important than practical experience, with the organisation placing greater value on someone who has successfully managed transactional finance operations.

• Circa £55,000 salary
