What you'll do

You'll lead the Accounts Payable Payments & Ledger team, setting clear objectives aligned with KPIs and SLAs. Day-to-day, you'll guide the team through coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development plans, ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time. You'll manage cash flow forecasting and reconciliation, act as the escalation point for complex queries, and drive process improvements-identifying automation opportunities that streamline operations. You'll also maintain internal control frameworks across payments and ledgers, ensuring compliance with group policies and regulatory standards.

What you bring

• Minimum five years' AP experience in a high-volume environment

• Proven track record managing teams focused on payments, cash management, or ledger control
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of AP payment processes, cash flow management, and ledger controls
\n
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (D365, SAP, or Oracle) and strong Excel skills
\n
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for investigating discrepancies and reconciling accounts
\n
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
\n
• Experience in multi-ledger or construction/hire environments is desirable but not essential
\n
• Commitment to ethical conduct and a continuous improvement mindset
