Contek Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Operatives on behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Aylesbury . Our client operates at the forefront of technology and is known for producing high-quality engineered products within a supportive, team-focused environment.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual with a manufacturing background to join our clients Production team. The role is hands-on and based within a busy production environment, with a strong focus on mechanical assembly, including the build and assembly of heat exchanger units and associated thermal equipment .Reporting Line & TeamYou will be part of the Production team and will report directly to the Team Leader. You will work closely with engineers, supervisors, project managers, and fellow production operatives, with full support provided across the business.Shift Patterns & Working HoursThe role is offered on either an Early Shift or a Late Shift :Early ShiftYour normal hours of work will be 37 per week - Monday to Friday: 6am to 2pm.Late ShiftMonday to Thursday: 1:30pm 11:30pm, Friday: 1:30pm 11:00pmThis shift attracts a 15% shift allowanceRequirementsA minimum of 2 years experience within a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environmentPrevious experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or production-based roles is highly desirableEssential AttributesTo succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:A strong work ethic and a positive, reliable attitudeExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to qualityThe ability to solve problems, work under pressure, and prioritise workload effectivelyThe ability to work independently using initiative, while also contributing as part of a teamKey Skills RequiredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, primarily Third Angle Projection drawingsCompetence in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipmentA methodical, safety-conscious approach to mechanical assemblyKey ResponsibilitiesAssembly of heat exchanger units and related thermal products in line with engineering drawings and specificationsMechanical fitting and assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and finished productsAccurately reading and interpreting engineering drawings and build instructionsCarrying out fitting and assembly work as directed by the Team LeaderFollowing work instructions provided by engineers, project managers, and supervisorsEnsuring assemblies meet required quality standards and tolerancesParticipating in quality checks and inspection processesIdentifying and reporting any build issues, defects, or improvement opportunitiesSupporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production areaMaintaining high levels of productivity while ensuring accuracy and safetyCarrying out production duties as directed by the Team LeaderAssisting in other production areas or duties as requiredWorking safely with production plant, machinery, and equipmentGeneral DutiesActing in the best interests of the company at all timesMaintaining strict confidentiality regarding company informationEnsuring all company procedures and standards are followedMaintaining good housekeeping within the work areaComplying fully with all Health & Safety policies and proceduresTraining & SupportTraining and development requirements will be identified and agreed in consultation with the Team Leader, with ongoing support provided to help the successful candidate succeed and develop within the business.Benefits Package25 days holiday plus bank holidaysLife assurancePension schemeHealth cash planOn-site parkingOn-site electric vehicle charging pointsSocial eventsSeasonal flu jabsTPBN1_UKTJ
