Support Worker Young People's Homelessness Service Location: Carlisle, CA1 2TUPay: £14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)Contract: Temporary Immediate Start AvailableHours: 37.5 hours per week, working a shift rota including some weekendsWe are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated Young People's Homelessness Service in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting young people to build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards independent living.The Role As a Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to young residents, helping them overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes. The role is primarily office-based, with a strong focus on support planning, administration, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one support tailored to each young person's individual needsSupport residents to access education, training, and employment opportunitiesEncourage the development of independent living skillsMaintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and CRM systemsComplete support plans and other administrative tasksPromote and maintain health and safety within the serviceWork collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomesAbout You We're looking for someone who has:Experience working in supported housing, children's residential services, or mental health servicesA passion for supporting vulnerable young peopleStrong organisational and administrative skillsConfidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systemsExcellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationshipsFlexibility to work a rota, including some weekendsIf you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact on the lives of young people, we'd love to hear from you.
