You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving a wide range of control and combustion systems, helping to maximise reliability across a technically advanced operation.If you enjoy working with PLCs, instrumentation, furnace controls and process equipment, this could be the ideal next step in your career.What's On Offer£47,000 salaryQuarterly bonus scheme paying between 2.5% and 15%Private medical insuranceLife assurance (death in service)33 days holiday including bank holidaysPension scheme with employer contributions up to 8%Employee Assistance ProgrammeMonday to Friday days roleOngoing training and developmentLong-term career opportunitiesThe Role - Instrumentation & Controls TechnicianCarrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a specialist manufacturing facilityFault finding on instrumentation, control systems and combustion equipmentSupporting PLC and Burner Management System diagnosticsConducting Thermal Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT) and calibration activitiesMaintaining and improving preventative maintenance schedulesRecording maintenance activities through the CMMS systemIdentifying and specifying critical spare partsSupporting continuous improvement projects across the siteWorking closely with specialist OEM engineers and internal engineering teamsEnsuring high standards of safety, quality and compliance at all timesWhat We're Looking ForExperience working as an Instrumentation Technician, Controls Technician, EC&I Technician, Instrument Engineer or Controls EngineerStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsUnderstanding of PLCs, instrumentation and industrial control systemsExperience working within manufacturing, process, heavy industrial or engineering environmentsAbility to read electrical and mechanical engineering drawingsKnowledge of calibration activities and process instrumentationEngineering qualification such as Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, ONC or HNC preferredExperience of combustion systems, furnaces or burner management systems would be advantageousThis role would suit engineers from steel, foundry, glass, chemicals, power generation, oil & gas, cement, paper, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, process manufacturing and other industrial environments.If you're looking for a technically challenging Instrumentation & Controls Technician role where you can genuinely influence plant performance and reliability, we'd like to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
