Job Description

An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Accounts Senior to join its specialist agriculture team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys working closely with rural businesses and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm. You'll work with a diverse portfolio of agricultural and rural clients, providing high-quality accounting and business support while building trusted, long-term relationships.The Role Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, with a focus on agricultural and rural businesses.Produce management accounts, bookkeeping records and VAT returns for a varied client portfolio.Prepare corporation tax computations and support wider compliance work.Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory accounts and tax returns.Communicate with clients to obtain information, answer queries and provide ongoing support.Identify accounting issues and work closely with Managers to deliver practical solutions.Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.Maintain high standards of technical accuracy and compliance with current accounting regulations.Build strong relationships with clients, developing an understanding of their businesses and long-term objectives.Support junior members of the team and contribute to a collaborative working environment.About You ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or qualified by experience.Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.Experience preparing accounts for a portfolio of business clients.An interest in the agricultural or rural sector, with previous experience working with farming clients being advantageous.Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.A full UK driving licence would be beneficial due to occasional client visits.What's on Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.Ongoing professional development and support with further qualifications.Exposure to a specialist agricultural client base and varied accounting work.Clear opportunities for career progression within a growing practice.A friendly, supportive team environment that values collaboration and continuous development.The opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients and develop specialist expertise within the rural sector.This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior or Business Services Senior looking to specialise in the agricultural sector while developing their career within a progressive accountancy practice that offers genuine progression, varied work and a supportive team culture.TPBN1_UKTJ
