3.5 Tonne Driver – Kelso, Scottish BordersPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver based in Kelso, Scottish Borders .This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work , and genuine potential for progression .This role would suit applicants that have worked in a role of Delivery Driver, Van Driver or Courier.You must undergo a DS/DBS check for this role.Shifts:Monday to FridayStart times between 05:00 and 06:00Rates of Pay: £12.71 per hourBenefits:As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will receive:Ongoing workWeekly payTraining providedImmediate startsEmployee well-being programmeGuaranteed minimum 50 hours' pay per week (even if routes finish early)Day-to-Day Duties:Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will include:Multi-drop deliveries (approximately 20–25 drops per day )Loading and unloading boxes and packagesLoading the vehicle for the following day's routesEnsuring all loads are safe and secureCompleting vehicle inspections and reporting faultsOperating a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van safely and efficientlyMaintaining accurate delivery records and paperworkCommunicating effectively with staff at delivery locationsAdhering to food hygiene regulationsMonitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration temperaturesEssential Skills:The skills required to be a 3.5 Tonne Driver are:Previous multi-drop experience (preferred)Valid UK Category B licence , held for at least two years (some points considered)Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulationsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify and report vehicle safety issuesGood knowledge of road networks and navigation toolsAbility to work to tight deadlines and use own initiativeMust undergo a DS/DBS check (good repute required)Desirable Experience:Experience driving commercial vehiclesBasic food hygiene knowledge (training provided)Training:Internal food hygiene trainingVehicle maintenance and safety trainingCompliance and regulatory trainingApply: If you are ready to take on this opportunity, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processTPBN1_UKTJ
