Registered Manager New Children's Residential HomeLead a Brand-New Children's Home from the BeginningWhat We Offer£60,000 £70,000 per annum, depending on experiencePerformance-based bonus scheme, including rewards linked to key achievements such as successful Ofsted inspectionsCar allowance28 days' annual leaveOpportunity to lead a brand-new children's home from the outsetSupport from an experienced Responsible IndividualThe chance to shape the culture, team and future direction of the serviceAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to join a new children's residential provider as they prepare to open their first children's home in Harrow.The organisation has secured a substantial seven-bedroom property, which is expected to provide care for up to four children under the age of 18. The exact registration and specialist needs of the home are still being determined, with the service potentially supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and/or Learning Disabilities (LD).With an experienced Responsible Individual already in place, this is a fantastic opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping the home, its culture and the quality of care provided to children and young people.The provider is also developing a supported living service, with an ambitious vision for the organisation's future growth.The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful development and operation of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing and high-quality environment for children.You will:Lead the day-to-day operation of the children's homeWork closely with the Responsible Individual to ensure the service is fully compliantLead, support and develop the staff teamManage staffing rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levelsProvide strong leadership and maintain high standards of careOversee safeguarding, risk assessments and care planningManage referrals and ensure appropriate placement matchingBuild effective relationships with local authorities and multi-agency professionalsEnsure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality StandardsMaintain the home to a high standard of regulatory compliance and readinessPrepare for and confidently manage Ofsted inspectionsDrive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and young peopleAbout YouThe ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with a strong background in children's residential care.We're looking for someone with:Ideally 35 years' experience in children's residential care managementPrevious Ofsted Registered Manager experience is highly desirableExperience working within children's homes supporting young people with EBD and/or Learning DisabilitiesLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or actively working towards itStrong knowledge of Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality StandardsA thorough understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitmentExperience with compliance, risk assessments and care planningKnowledge of referrals and placement matchingExperience of effective multi-agency workingStrong leadership and team management skillsThe confidence and ability to lead a home through Ofsted inspectionAbove all, we're looking for a passionate and capable leader who is committed to creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment where children can thrive.The organisation is ready to move quickly with the recruitment process and is looking to appoint a Registered Manager who can join within approximately 34 months, depending on notice period.At RJS Resourcing, we partner with values-driven children's home providers across the UK and work on a continuous stream of exciting opportunities within residential childcare.
