Our client is a market leader within the logistics sector, offering long-term career progression, stability, and excellent working conditions.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver, HGV Driver, Trunk Driver, Tramper Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver .Shift PatternNights• Monday – Friday  • One in four Sundays required  • Start times between 00:30 – 07:00Rates of Pay• £16.98 – £22.58 per hour (Night rate uplift applies from 22:00)  • Weekly payBenefitsAs an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates of pay  • Weekly pay  • Genuine Temporary to Permanent opportunity  • Ongoing work with no shift cancellations  • Brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution centre  • Free On-site Parking  • Modern on-site canteen facilities  • Employee well-being programme  • Immediate starts available  • Two-week paid induction programme  • Ongoing training and career developmentDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):• Completing Class 1 trunking deliveries to regional distribution centres and customer sites  • Carrying out up to three drops per shift to regular delivery locations  • Operating Category CE vehicles safely, professionally, and efficiently at all times  • Completing daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any defects promptly  • Ensuring loads are correctly secured and transported in accordance with company procedures and current legislation  • Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and UK road traffic legislation  • Completing delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately where required  • Communicating effectively with the transport office, customers, and site personnel  • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly  • Assisting with loading and unloading where required  • Delivering a professional and high standard of customer service at all timesEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:• A valid UK Category CE (HGV Class 1) Driving Licence  • A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card  • A minimum of 12 months' Category CE driving experience  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)  • Good knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Regulations  • Good spoken and written English  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and timekeeping  • The ability to work independently and as part of a professional transport teamDesirable Experience• Previous experience completing Class 1 trunking, RDC deliveries, store deliveries, depot-to-depot work, or general haulage would be advantageousTraining Provided• Driver assessment prior to starting  • Two-week paid induction programme following a successful assessment  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver in Birmingham, West Midlands , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
