Mechanical Fitter Long-Term Contract until December 2027Monday to Friday 7:30am 3:30pm 40 Hours Per WeekWe're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy team working on vehicle, bogie and rail overhauls. If you've got the hands-on skills, a great eye for detail, and enjoy working on large-scale engineering projects, we want to hear from you!What You'll Be Doing As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be:Stripping, rebuilding and fitting mechanical componentsWorking on large vehicle and coach overhaul projectsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematicsUsing hand and power tools to cut, fit, assemble and modify componentsCarrying out quality checks to ensure everything lines up perfectlyFollowing Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe workshop environmentWhat We're Looking For in the Mechanical Fitter You'll be a great fit if you have:Proven Mechanical Fitter experience in a technical or production environmentExperience working on vehicles, rolling stock, coaches, heavy engineering or similarThe ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawingsStrong hand and power tool skillsA keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindsetExperience in rail, aviation, military, marine or heavy vehicle sectors (desirable)Basic electrical schematic reading skills (a bonus, not essential)What's In It For the Mechanical Fitter Long-term contract through to December 2027PAYE: £20.05 per hourUmbrella: £27.34 per hourStable day shifts with no weekendsOpportunity to work on exciting, large-scale engineering projectsReady to Get Started?
