We design and build the systems that keep modern industries running cool, efficient, and reliable. As our new Mechanical Maintenance Engineer , you will be the backbone of our production facilitykeeping our specialized machinery humming, minimizing downtime, and ensuring our operations run like clockwork.If you have a strong mechanical bias paired with practical, basic electrical know-how, we want to hear from you.This is working a 4 day week - Mon - Thursday 6am - 4pm (Fridays off) - Overtime available.What Youll Be DoingNo two days are quite the same, but here is what you can expect to tackle:Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Conduct planned maintenance (PPM) and rapid-response repairs on a variety of mechanical plant machinery, conveyors, and thermal processing equipment.Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical faults (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes) and carry out effective, long-term repairs.Basic Electrical Tasks: Safely perform minor electrical duties, such as disconnecting/reconnecting motors, replacing faulty sensors, resetting trips, and basic fault-finding.Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in our processes and suggest mechanical modifications to improve machine reliability and safety.Safety First: Maintain a pristine working environment, ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.What Were Looking ForWe value practical ability and a proactive attitude above all else. To thrive in this role, you should have:The Foundation: A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent apprenticeship).The Multi-Skilled Edge: Proven experience with basic electrical systems. You dont need to be a fully certified industrial electrician, but you must be comfortable and safe working with low-voltage controls, motors, and sensors.The Diagnostic Mindset: Exceptional fault-finding skills across pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems.The Right Attitude: A self-motivated team player who can work independently under pressure and manage their own workload.Bonus Points: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, thermal, or process engineering environment.Whats In It For You?We believe in taking care of the people who keep us moving.
