Temporary Electrician HMP CardiffWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to provide temporary cover at HMP CardiffThis is an ongoing temporary assignment supporting the site while the client recruits for a permanent member of staff. The successful candidate will join the facilities maintenance team, helping to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the establishment.Working Hours39 hours per weekMonday to Friday: 8am to 5pm1 in 3 weekends on a rota basisPay Rate Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.The RoleCarrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenanceFault finding and repairs across the siteElectrical testing and inspections in line with BS7671 regulationsCompleting minor installation works and replacementsEnsuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operationalFollowing health and safety procedures, RAMS and safe systems of workSupporting the wider facilities team and escorting contractors where requiredRequirementsLevel 2 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent18th Edition qualification preferred (17th Edition considered)Previous experience in electrical maintenance and fault findingKnowledge of Electricity at Work RegulationsGood understanding of health and safety requirementsAbility to work independently and at height when requiredBasic IT skillsDesirableExperience with fire alarm systemsCCTV maintenance knowledgeWhat's on OfferOngoing temporary assignmentWeekly payLong-term opportunity within a secure environmentFree on-site parkingAccess to on-site facilitiesSupport throughout the prison vetting processAdditional Information Due to the nature of the site, all successful applicants will be required to undergo prison security clearance and a DBS check before commencing work.If you are a qualified Electrician looking for your next long-term temporary opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
