Location: Kinglea Court, Chingford.Help Keep Our Home Safe, Comfortable and WelcomingAre you a practical, reliable and proactive individual looking for a rewarding role where your work has a real impact every day?At Crystal Care Collection , were committed to creating luxury homes where residents feel safe, comfortable and proud to live, and where our team members enjoy working in a well-maintained environment.Were looking for a dedicated Maintenance Operative to play a vital role in ensuring our home, grounds and facilities remain safe, compliant and presented to the highest standard.About the RoleAs our Maintenance Operative, youll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the home, carrying out repairs, preventative maintenance and safety checks to ensure everything runs smoothly for residents and colleagues alike.Youll work closely with the General Manager to maintain a welcoming, homely environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and supporting the overall delivery of outstanding care.No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in solving problems.Key Responsibilities Carry out routine repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the home within your level of competence.Complete planned maintenance schedules and regular safety inspections, including fire safety checks, ensuring accurate records are maintained.Promptly report and follow up any maintenance issues or defects with the General Manager.Ensure the home complies with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, Food Safety and other relevant legislation and company policies.Liaise with external contractors, ensuring authorised works are completed safely and in accordance with regulatory requirements.Maintain the building, fixtures, fittings and equipment to a high standard, helping to minimise disruption to residents and staff.Keep the gardens and external areas clean, tidy and well presented throughout the year.Respect residents privacy, dignity and preferences, carrying out work sensitively to minimise inconvenience.Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment.Participate in the homes emergency on-call rota when required.About YouWere looking for someone who: Has previous maintenance, facilities or general handyman experience.Is practical, organised and able to work independently.Takes pride in maintaining high standards and attention to detail.Has a good understanding of health and safety responsibilities.Enjoys problem solving and finding practical solutions.Has excellent communication skills and works well as part of a team.Is approachable, reliable and committed to creating a safe environment for residents and colleagues.Working Pattern Monday to Friday9:00am - 5:00pmAverage 40 hours per weekParticipation in the emergency on-call rota is required.Pay Hourly Rate: £16.14What We Offer Full induction training programmePaid breaksFully funded uniformFully funded Blue Light CardFully funded Enhanced DBS checkRefer a Friend bonus schemePay Day BreakfastFree meal on shiftOngoing training and development opportunitiesA supportive team environment where your contribution is valuedJoin Our TeamIf youre a hands-on individual who takes pride in keeping environments safe, well maintained and welcoming, wed love to hear from you.Your work will make a genuine difference to the daily lives of our residents and help ensure they can enjoy a comfortable place to call home.Complete the application form below to apply today.We are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this role.TPBN1_UKTJ
