Manual Machinist

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our existing team to work in our state-of-the-art purpose built Workshop at Mossfield Mill, Bury. The role is the repair and refurbishment of machine parts and the machining of new components.Your Role:Repairing and producing new parts/components on the following types of machines:LathesMillersPillar DrillsManufacturing custom partsGenerating technical drawings where requiredMaintaining stock levels of raw materialAlways keeping work area safe and tidyTo respond promptly to requests in a timely manner and carry out any reasonable ad hoc duties requested by the workshop manager.To follow company working policies and practicesIdeal CandidateTime served MachinistThe ability to read and draw up technical drawings of each componentA strong work ethic and proactive approach to workHigh level of communication skills.A professional attitude towards work and willingness to be flexibleA high level of attention to detailCompany InformationWho are we?Millers Vanguard are proud to have been supporting all the UKs Supermarket chains for over 40 years, in brief, we are the people in the background ensuring that supermarkets keep the Nation fed!
