As Subcontract Manager, youll play a critical role in SEAs Commercial team to manage, support and scrutinise commercial aspects of supplier contracts. Youll negotiate sub-contracts, support make-vs-buy decisions and work with technical teams and project managers to produce and issue statements of work.This role is available at an exciting time for SEA, as we anticipate a period of growth across our Defence division. Youll see your work making a real impact on the commercial excellence of our defence output, making this is great step in your career.The Subcontract Manager will be based at our Bristol site. This role allows for flexible working.The salary for this role is up to £65k, depending on experience.What youll be doing Negotiation of sub-contracts, including appropriate customer flow down, to support project budget constraints and achieve timely performance whilst minimising programme risk and exploiting programme opportunities.Monitor and manage contracts, subcontracts and service agreements to ensure that all parties adhere to the conditions.Contribute to respective make-vs-buy decisions pertaining to potential sub-contractsProfessionally represent the business at supplier meetings held both on site and at the suppliers premises, identify and mitigate the commercial & compliance risks relating to respective sub-contractors.Advise and guide Project Managers on performance issues relating to suppliers/sub-contractors, ensuring best practiceAbout our companyAt SEA, we develop and deliver advanced solutions to make our world safer, cleaner and more efficient.We provide state-of-the-art applications for naval ship and fleet protection, and undersea surveillance systems.
