\nSalary: Up to £46,000 per annum + Company Van\n
\nContract Type: Full Time, Permanent\n
\nThe Opportunity\n
\nTrevett Services are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join a national engineering team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong air conditioning and HVAC experience to join a growing business that invests in its people, provides ongoing training and offers genuine long-term career progression.\n
\nYou'll be responsible for ensuring HVAC systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational whilst delivering a first-class service to clients across the region.\n
\nKey Responsibilities\n
\nPlanned & Reactive Maintenance\n
    \n
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment.
  • \n
  • Service, maintain and repair:
  • \n
Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), VRV / VRF Systems, Split Systems, Chillers\n
    \n
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across HVAC plant.
  • \n
  • Complete repairs efficiently whilst maintaining high first-time fix rates.
  • \n
Compliance & Documentation\n
    \n
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation, SFG20 maintenance standards and company procedures.
  • \n
  • Complete service reports and maintenance documentation using CAFM systems.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works and compliance documentation.
  • \n
Remedial Works\n
    \n
  • Identify remedial works during maintenance visits.
  • \n
  • Provide clear technical reports and recommendations.
  • \n
  • Escalate plant issues where further works are required.
  • \n
Asset & Equipment Management\n
    \n
  • Maintain company van stock, tools and testing equipment.
  • \n
  • Ensure all company equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
  • \n
  • Participate in the on-call rota when required.
  • \n
\n
\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\n
    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC or equivalent
  • \n
  • F-Gas Category 1
  • \n
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Proven experience maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
  • \n
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • \n
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • \n
  • Experience working to SFG20 planned maintenance schedules.
  • \n

\nDesirable Qualifications & Experience\n
    \n
  • ACRIB Gold Skills Card
  • \n
  • Electrical qualifications or electrical maintenance knowledge
  • \n
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • \n
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) experience
  • \n
  • Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) experience
  • \n
  • Experience maintaining larger commercial or critical plant including:
  • \n
Chillers, Large Air Handling Units, Critical HVAC systems\n
    \n
  • Five years' experience within a similar commercial HVAC role.
  • \n
