Whatyoullbedoing:GroundMaintenanceOperative

• Carryoutarangeoftasksrequiredforgroundsmaintenanceincluding,butnotlimitedto,weeding,deadheading,hoeing,planting,pruning,cutting,andwateringcommunalbeds.
\n
• Cutandmaintainlawnsandgrassareastoavarietyoffinishes(finetoroughmeadowtype)usingavarietyofmachines,includingpedestrianoperated,tractors&ride-onmowers,strimmersandbrushcutters,andincludingfertilizerandpesticideapplication.
\n
• Useandoperateavarietyoftools,machinery,andequipment,inaccordancewithGroupandmanufacturersguidelines,inordertofulfilduties.
\n
• Planandexecutesmallscalelandscapingoperations,asdirected,toenhancetheappearanceofourcommunalgrounds.
\n
• Removeleaves,mossandsnowasrequired,andapplysalt/gritasdirected.
\n
• Respondpromptlytoactsofvandalism,includinggraffiti,andreportallincidentstotheneighbourhoodhub.
\n
• Onthejobsupervisionandcoachingofapprentices/traineesfromtimetotimeasdirected
\n
• Reportanyrepairsordefectsincommunalareastomaintenancedepartment/linemanagerandfollowupactionsasrequired.
\n
• Reportsuspectedbreachesofthetenancyagreement/leasetotheHousingServicesManagere.g.,anti-socialbehaviour,subletting,rubbishdumping,itemsleftincommunalareasetc.
\n
• Providecoverintheabsenceofothercolleagues.
\n
• Beapointofcontactforresidents,assistwherepossibleorreferenquiriestocolleagues.
\n
• Beawareofvulnerablecustomersand,whereappropriate,highlighttheirneedstoyourlinemanager/HousingTeam
\n
• Actinafriendly,polite,andprofessionalwayatalltimes,evenwhenchallengedbyresidentsorvisitorstotheestate.
\n
• UnderstandyourresponsibilitiesasanemployeeunderHealthandSafetylegislation.
