Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Sevenoaks, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve both academically and personally.

This opportunity is particularly suited to graduates in Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or similar subjects who are interested in developing a career in education or supporting young people.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing classroom support for students with SEN
\n
• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
\n
• Encouraging engagement and positive behaviour
\n
• Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
\n
• Building positive relationships with students to boost confidence and progress
\n

Successful applicants will have:

• A degree in a core academic subject or social science (desirable)
\n
• A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
\n
• Strong communication and organisational skills
\n
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach
\n
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
\n
