EPC/Stock Condition Surveyor
Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Devon, who are recruiting for a Stock Condition/EPC Surveyor on a six-month contract.
\nThe position is due to start immediately, and the hourly rate of pay is for the role is £38.79 per hour to be paid via an Umbrella Company,
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience undertaking stock condition surveys and EPC assessments within residential housing. They will possess strong knowledge of building construction, asset management, and energy efficiency standards, along with excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively manage survey programmes and engage with a range of stakeholders.
\nDuties will include (but are not limited to):

- Conducting stock condition surveys across residential housing stock to assess property condition and lifecycle requirements \n
- Undertaking Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments and producing compliant energy ratings and reports \n
- Collecting, validating, and updating asset data within housing asset management systems \n
- Identifying maintenance, refurbishment, and capital investment needs through detailed property inspections \n
- Producing accurate survey reports and recommendations to support planned maintenance programmes \n
- Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to arrange surveys and ensure successful project delivery \n
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
\n- \n
- Experience in undertaking stock condition surveys and property inspections within residential housing portfolios. \n
- A strong understanding of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), energy efficiency measures, and relevant housing legislation. \n
- Experience in collecting, analysing, and managing asset data using property management systems. \n
- Knowledge of building construction, maintenance requirements, and lifecycle costing principles. \n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders. \n
Working hours:
\n- \n
- 37 hours per week \n
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm \n
