\nWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Facilities to lead a facilities management function across a large and complex estate.
\nAs a Head of Facilities you will be responsible for estates management, maintenance operations, contractor management and ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations.
\nThe Head of Facilities will play a key role in strategic planning, capital development programmes and budget management, while working closely with senior stakeholders to support business objectives.

\n\nDUTIES
\nYour duties as the Head of Facilities include:
\n- \n
- Lead Facilities Strategy: Develop and implement a facilities management strategy aligned with business goals \n
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and ISO standards \n
- Oversee Maintenance Operations: Manage the upkeep of buildings, infrastructure and site facilities \n
- Manage Contractors: Coordinate and control approved contractors and service providers \n
- Deliver Capital Projects: Lead major projects and capital development programmes \n
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage operating budgets and CAPEX plans \n
- Emergency Response Leadership: Manage and coordinate emergency facilities responses \n
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior management and key departments \n
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, contractor SLAs and statutory maintenance compliance \n
- Reporting and Documentation: Produce reports and maintain accurate compliance records \n
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
\nESSENTIAL
\n- \n
- Proven experience in facilities management, estates management or property maintenance \n
- Strong knowledge of health and safety, environmental and building regulations \n
- Experience managing large, complex estates and maintenance operations \n
- Leadership and team management experience within a facilities or operations environment \n
- Experience managing budgets, resources and contractor performance \n
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills \n
- Ability to lead under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively \n
- Experience with risk assessments, method statements and compliance documentation \n
DESIRABLE
\n- \n
- Facilities Management qualification or technical qualification, such as HNC or above \n
- Membership of a recognised professional body such as IOSH or IWFM \n
- Project or programme management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM \n
- Experience working within CDM regulations \n
- Evidence of continued professional development \n
