HR Clerk
Job Description
The Human Resources Clerk reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for coordinating and executing various human resources programs and activities. The Human Resources Admin Assistant may perform a variety of duties in accordance with their training experience and skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Generate and distribute weekly timecard reports to staffing agencies
· Generate Monthly Evacuation lists (Milpitas and Zanker personnel)
· Deliver New Hire Orientation
· Photocopy/scan documents
o To include HR and Insurance related
· Actively participate in Fun Committee
o Assist with event setup and clean up
· Quarterly Dosimetry Program
o Collect and distribute badges
o Distribute results letters
· Maintain Snack Room
o Compile list of supplies needed
o Stock Snack Rooms
§ Milpitas
§ Zanker
· Compile and update various reports including;
o 10-hour rule report and associated Meal and Rest Period Acknowledgement CA
o OT Analysis Report
o Time and Attendance Masterfile
o Time Confirmation
§ Actual Hours
§ Pay Time Report
· Will back up Receptionist by:
o Creating badges
o Scheduling Interviews and Communicating feedback to agencies and hiring managers
o Issuing lockers
o Issuing Shoe Vouchers
o Maintaining Smock Program
o Ordering coffee and tea supplies
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
· Possess 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a HR department
· Possess an associate’s degree and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must have a high degree of confidentiality
· Proficient with PC-based software including Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Possess effective organizational skills; detail oriented
· Able to multitask in a changing and/or fast paced environment
· Successful in operating within demanding guidelines
· Possess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, agencies, or employees within the organization
· Ability to apply basic concepts of arithmetic
· Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
· Ability to keep accurate documentation
· Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees;
· Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
· Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and goals. This may include odd-hour teleconferences with global facilities.

This position requires repetitive movement in regard to keyboard typing, computer mouse use, extended periods of time viewing computer monitors, extended periods of sitting at a workstation; stretch breaks are recommended.
