Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This engaging position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school sites, primarily servicing elementary and middle-school grade levels. With a flexible blend of onsite and virtual work—three days onsite and two remote days each week—you’ll have the benefit of both direct interaction and convenient, productive teletherapy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license required
- Valid CPR certification
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with K-8 populations
- Proficiency with Medicaid billing is highly valued
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate fully in evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Complete Medicaid billing for eligible services and maintain proper recordkeeping
- Rotate between assigned elementary and/or middle schools as needed
- Contribute insights and recommendations to support adaptive student learning and developmental needs
This contract role runs from early August 2026 through late May 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 35-40 hours.
