School Psychologist - Evanston, IL

Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting high school students as a School Psychologist in the Evanston, IL area. This full-time opportunity covers a maternity leave from August 10 through September 30 and focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of students during a pivotal time in their education.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Experience working with adolescents in a school environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and special education protocol
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 14-25 high school students, conducting evaluations and re-evaluations as needed
• Provide direct counseling and behavioral support to students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing detailed reports and recommendations
• Use evidence-based practices to support academic and social-emotional needs
• Respond to crisis situations and assist in creating positive behavioral interventions
