Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills
• Prior experience working in educational settings, ideally with elementary-aged students
• Familiarity with interpreting in a classroom environment, supporting both academic and social interactions
• Flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication capabilities
• National or state interpreter certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa in a 5th grade classroom and during school activities
• Bridge communication between teachers, staff, peers, and the assigned student
