Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students near Indianapolis, IN, as a Special Education Teacher. Currently seeking experienced educators for roles focusing on Life Skills and Structured Teach (Autism Support) in school settings. Both positions provide the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Moderate or Mild Intervention certification (as required by the specific role)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K–12 environment
  • Background working with students with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism
  • Strong IEP writing and case management skills
  • Ability to cultivate supportive, inclusive classroom environments
  • Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Position Details:

  • Life Skills Teacher: Moderate Intervention certification required; schedule: 7:20 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.
  • Structured Teach (Autism Support) Teacher: Mild Intervention certification required; schedule: 8:20 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.
  • Caseload: Approximately 10–15 students per assignment
  • Full collaboration with school staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Employ evidence-based strategies for academic, social, and behavioral growth
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with student IEPs
  • Communicate proactively with parents and educational teams
  • Track student progress and tailor interventions as needed
