Special Education Teacher in Great Falls, MT

You’ll be based in an engaging educational environment just outside of Great Falls, MT, where you’ll focus on a caseload of approximately 12-16 students — mostly served in a resource room model. With dedicated one-to-one paraprofessional support available for students with higher-level needs, your expertise will help ensure each learner thrives academically and personally.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Montana Special Educator Certification required
• Previous experience working in resource room or inclusive educational settings, preferred
• Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for middle and high school students, primarily within a resource room setting
• Develop, implement, and track IEP goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Utilize research-based instructional strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Engage in regular communication with parents and educational staff to monitor progress
• Support a small group of students with higher-level needs, aided by assigned one-to-one paraprofessionals
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal special education regulations
