This contract opportunity for a school psychologist begins immediately, extending through mid-June, with placements in either Elementary or Middle School settings. Your core focus will be conducting psychoeducational evaluations, serving an approximate caseload of 70 throughout the year, with additional counseling responsibilities. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week, with work hours set according to the student population.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, valid MSDE School Psychologist certification
  • Prior experience in educational settings preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with psychoeducational assessments
  • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), IEP, and 504 processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse student populations and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychoeducational evaluations as referred by school staff
  • Attend and contribute to MTSS, IEP, and 504 meetings
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to reporting requirements
  • Provide counseling and mental health support for students as assigned
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support individualized student needs
  • Engage in preventative and responsive practices to promote positive student outcomes
