What You Need to Succeed:

• Valid teaching certification in Generalist and Special Education (required)
• Experience working with students in self-contained and/or Life Skills classrooms preferred
• Flexibility, patience, and a commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with staff and families
• Dedication to differentiated instruction and positive behavior supports

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional instruction and support to students with diverse needs within a self-contained Life Skills classroom
• Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies to promote growth
• Foster a classroom culture of respect, encouragement, and safety
• Collaborate closely with other educators, specialists, and families to achieve student-centric goals
• Document student achievements and maintain accurate records in accordance with school protocols
