Step into a dynamic, student-centered environment as a skilled School Psychologist working on a contract basis with K-8 students at two Chicago locations. Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
  • Valid State of Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
  • Demonstrated dedication to core values, with a focus on student success and evidence-based practice

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively provide assessment, identification, and intervention for students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs, supporting their access to learning
  • Serve as a vital member of school-based teams (such as SPED, 504, MTSS), contributing to screening, evaluation, and development of individualized plans
  • Maintain 90-100% compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS requirements including timelines and documentation
  • Consult and lead interventions for Tier 3 scholars; progress monitor outcomes and adjust supports as needed
  • Prepare and present reports in a timely manner; attend and contribute to a variety of school meetings (problem solving, 504, IEP)
  • Collect and document records of services, collaborations, and data, upholding confidentiality standards
  • Stay current with best practices, share knowledge within the psychology team, and provide professional development as needed
  • Act as a liaison between the psych team and other stakeholders, fostering open communication with colleagues and families
  • Support a caseload of approximately 60 students across two welcoming schools
