Job Description
Our organization, in collaboration with a prestigious medical school, is on the lookout for a full-time general physiatrist to join our expanding department. The selected candidate will deliver comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services within our rehabilitation network and will also engage in consultative and outpatient care for patients requiring neurorehabilitation. Experience and interest in electrodiagnostic assessments will be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Must possess an MD or equivalent and be board certified/board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with the capability to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
- To be appointed at the Associate Professor level, a minimum of 5 years of experience along with proven scholarly contributions in research, teaching, and/or administrative roles is typically required.
- For a full Professor appointment, generally, at least 10 years of experience and a demonstrated record of achieving a distinguished reputation nationally or internationally in their area of expertise is necessary.
- Evidence of scholarly contributions is essential for tenure track appointments, including teaching, academic service, publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a successful history of securing funding. A strong record of independent scholarship across these activities is the primary criterion for tenure conferral.
Opportunity Details
- Clinical and academic track positions are available.
- Become part of a well-established team comprising over 40 physiatrists and more than 13 advanced practice providers, within a department that includes over 75 full-time faculty members.
- This role will involve approximately 85-90% clinical work, with the remainder allocated to teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
- On-call duties are expected to be around 1:8 weekends.
