Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a short-term locum tenens opportunity this fall.

Assignment Details

• Duration: From October 13, 2026 (7:00 AM) to October 16, 2026 (7:00 AM)

• 24-hour on-call coverage required

• Work will be conducted in an inpatient setting

• Beeper call system in place

• Low-volume coverage with an estimated:

  • 0-3 consultations daily

  • 0-2 emergency department visits daily

  • 0-2 surgical procedures daily

• Cases will primarily involve fracture management and general orthopedic surgical procedures

• Utilization of MediTech EMR system

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery

• Active medical license in North Carolina is mandatory

• North Carolina DEA registration required

• Must be credentialed with Medicare/Medicaid and enrolled in PECOS

• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and ABLS are necessary
