Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Float
Job Description
Our Float Pool team is comprised of highly skilled medical professionals who are trained to seamlessly integrate into our primary care practices and help maintain continuity of patient care. Float Pool providers support our practices by filling staffing gaps due to unexpected absences, planned vacations, extended leaves, and vacant positions.
\n Our North Shore Primary Care practices include, but are not limited to, the following locations:
\n Beverly
\n Danvers
\n Lynn
\n Marblehead
\n Peabody
\n Rowley
\n Salem
\n Saugus
\n Swampscott
\n We are seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner who can commit to providing at least 24 patient-facing days per calendar year. Providers will submit their availability in advance, and assignments will be scheduled based on operational needs across our North Shore practices.
\n In addition to providing direct patient care, the NP will be responsible for managing follow-up on patient results and in-basket messages related to their clinical assignments for up to two weeks after each shift, ensuring continuity of care for pending tests, results, and patient communications.
Essential Functions

Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.

Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
\n - \n
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
\n - \n
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
\n - \n
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
\n - \n
Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.

Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

\n Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
\n Experience
\n 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience 1-2 years required
