Our Cancer Center - Johnstown:
We are dedicated to delivering exceptional, state-of-the-art, and compassionate care right in the communities where our patients reside. To further this mission, we are seeking a radiation oncologist to join a flourishing community practice in Johnstown, PA, a family-friendly area surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.
The selected candidate will be the second full-time physician in a busy ACRO-accredited practice, which has a solid reputation in the community and a strong referral network. The practice typically handles a daily treatment volume in the upper 20s, with anticipated growth due to recent recruitment in Medical Oncology. The cancer center facility includes both Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology departments. Our Radiation Oncology unit is equipped with a 23ix LINAC featuring onboard imaging, with plans for a LINAC upgrade tentatively scheduled for 2027 and a new PET/CT simulator expected in 2025. The support team consists of three therapists and a chief therapist, one dosimetrist, 1.7 FTE nursing staff, one CRNP, a flexible full-time financial counselor, two secretaries, and remote Varian physics support.
Our physicians benefit from being part of an integrated, physician-led network of healthcare professionals. They engage in weekly prospective peer reviews and have the chance to participate in monthly educational rounds led by experts in various disease sites. We are looking for candidates who are committed to providing the highest standard of care, including offering patients the opportunity to engage in our extensive and expanding clinical trial offerings.
What We Provide:
- Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
- Competitive base salary based on experience, along with a generous incentive program
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
- Five weeks of paid time off plus holidays
