Hematology/Oncology Physician - Saint Alphonsus Medical Group

Support: Our full-service cancer centers provide a range of services in medical, radiation, and surgical oncology, ensuring a holistic care team that includes nurse navigators, social work assistance, genetic counseling, spiritual support, and nutritionists. A dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit is available at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Weekly tumor boards facilitate collaboration with our fellowship-trained surgeons specializing in breast, plastic/reconstruction, GYN oncology, colorectal, neurosurgery, thoracic, and esophageal fields. Innovative initiatives include lung cancer screening, a lung nodule clinic, neuro-oncology services, a high-risk breast clinic, and a robust array of clinical trials. This position can be either full-time or part-time, located in the Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and Ontario regions of Idaho and Oregon, with flexibility based on organizational needs and candidate preferences. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly, with the option for a 4-day work week. Weekend and evening on-call duties are shared equitably at a ratio of 1:6. The inpatient unit is managed by a dedicated team of Oncology Hospitalists and Advanced Practice Providers, with limited consultative responsibilities for outpatient oncologists.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program and a Medical Oncology/Hematology fellowship;
• Board certification or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment;
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Oregon and Idaho, along with privileges at SAMC-Nampa, SARMC-Boise, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary;
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA;
• Open to considering candidates requiring Visa sponsorship.
