Exciting opportunity for a skilled school psychologist to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting! We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill a contract position serving elementary or middle school students in the Elkton, MD area. This is a wonderful chance to provide essential support and guidance to students, families, and staff.
In this full-time role, you’ll work a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (Elementary: 8:15–3:45 or Secondary: 7:30–3:00), with a tentative end date of June 12. You’ll join a dynamic team, utilizing your expertise to lead psychoeducational evaluations, support student success, and collaborate with educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid MSDE School Psychologist certification required
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments
- Background working with K–12 student populations, ideally elementary or middle school
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 70 evaluations and counseling responsibilities
- Familiarity with MTSS, IEP, and 504 meeting participation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- In-person availability is strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Attend Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), IEP, and 504 meetings
- Provide counseling services to students as needed
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and well-being
- Help create a positive, inclusive school climate
