Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education services
- Ability to adapt strategies for students with autism, cognitive, emotional, and learning disabilities, as well as other health-related challenges
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to travel between school sites within the county
- Flexibility regarding building assignments and caseloads, to be confirmed at the start of the school year
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing occupational therapy services for a caseload of 55–65 K-12 students
- Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to create and implement individualized interventions
- Conducting thorough evaluations and generating progress reports for students with a range of disabilities
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing clinical insight to student support teams
- Planning and delivering therapy sessions that foster independence and improve functional skills
- Committing to a consistent schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 36.25 hours per week
